Bumiyahe pa sa Baguio City si TV and radio host Tim Yap upang ipagdiwang doon ang kanyang birthday.
Kumalat naman sa social media ang mga litrato at video niya kasama ang mga kaibigan na nagkakasiyahan nang walang suot na face mask at hindi na nakasunod sa social distancing.
Nangyari ang mask-less celebration sa The Manor sa loob ng Camp John Hay noong nakaraang linggo.
Makikita pang dumating si Yap sa venue na sakay ng kabayo at may kasamang dalawang Igorot.
Ito’y sa kabila ng pagsirit ng COVID-19 case sa Cordillera Administrative Region.
Katuwiran ni Yap, lahat naman sila ng mga kasama niya ay na-test na negative sa coronavirus.
“Lahat ng mga tao, bago umakyat ng tao, kailangan maka-secure ng negative na test. We ensured all the protocols were in place. Itong mga kasama ko, mga kaibigan ko, were also tested negative,” ani Yap sa panayam sa ABS-CBN.
“Lahat ng mga tao, mayroon silang mga mask. That time papunta na yung mga tao sa buffet table. Pagkatapos noon, kakain na sila so tinanggal nila maskara nila. Pagkatapos noon, pumasok yung mga dancers na mag-community dancing so hindi nila nasuot mask nila na sumayaw sila,” dagdag niya.
Pakay din daw niya sa pa-party na i-promote ang Baguio bilang destination sa local tourism.
“Sa akin, ‘yun ang hangarin ko talaga. Para mag-push ang local tourism,” giit ni Yap.
Pero maraming netizen ang hindi tinanggap ang anila’y “excuse” ni Yap.
