“Speaker Velasco earned my respect more after he made true on his promise to lead the House into approving the budget on a timely, legal and constitutional manner,” sabi ni Herrera.
“In fact, his first order of business as Speaker was to revoke an earlier second reading approval of the 2021 spending plan and reactivate the plenary debates to give all lawmakers the chance to scrutinize the budget bill,” dagdag pa nito.
Alan Peter Cayetano.
“It is time for all of us in the House to leave the speakership issue behind and work together under the leadership of Speaker Velasco to pass important pieces of legislation that would benefit the Filipino people whom we represent in Congress,” ani Herrerra.
“Let’s all buckle down to work and pass the budget that will strengthen the government’s response to COVID-19. We owe it to the Filipino people to do our part in helping the country recover from the socioeconomic impacts of the pandemic,” dagdag nito.
