“It is the moral and legal obligation of the Vigilant Security Agency as principal employer to ensure that all its employees’ monthly SSS deductions are remitted to the system in time so that in case these employees get into financial trouble, they would be able to borrow and tide things over,” pahayag ni Alan Tanjusay, spokesman ng ALU-TUCP.
:The timely and faithful payments of SSS are also crucial safety net protection when their employees reached retirement age,” dagdag pa nito.
“We urged the SSS to begin a motu propio proceedings on Vigilant Security Agency for non-payment of SSS premiums of all its employees and make the agency retroactively pay for the non-compliance to a very important aspect of the general labor standards,” sabi ni Tanjusay.
“We also call the attention of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to initiate a labor inspection proceeding on Vigilant Security Agency to ensure that the establishment complies with all the other general labor standards and occupational safety and health standards for all its employees,” sabi ni Tanjusay.
“The VSA is no sacred cow. The rule of law must be applied to all establishments including VSA to ensure that all its employees are protected,” dagdag pa nito.
