Isa ang Zumba Queen na si Regine Tolentino sa nagwagi sa katatapos na Star Awards for Music ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) na ginanap sa Newport Performing Arts Theatre, Resorts World Manila.
Nakopo ng multi-talented na TV host/actress/entrepreneur ang 2018 Dance Album of the Year award para sa kanyang album na ‘Moving To The Music’ under Viva Records.
Ipinahayag ng ‘Unang Hirit’ segment host ang labis na kasiyahan sa natamong karangalan.
“I feel so happy and fulfilled to receive an award for something I have worked so hard for.
“I am so thankful to the people who believed in me to make this dream come true, most especially Ms. Larisa Lim of Flanax Philippines, who urged me to do this dance album for the purpose of my dance fitness events. If it wasn’t for her, together with Martin Canate of 4.0 Events Management, Direk Dondi of Happy House Manila, and my daughters who supported me, this would all still just be a dream.
“Sobrang happy ko and thankful sa PMPC, this is a dream come true. This is like the best birthday gift ever. After so many years in showbiz, I finally got to pursue my dream. Thank you PMPC for believing in me and appreciating my work,” pahayag ni Ms. Regine.
Dagdag pa niya, “I honestly did not expect to win an award considering the steep competition and its my first time to get into the music industry. Sobrang saya ko na sa nominations, tapos may award pa!
“I cant ask for anything more! I’m so proud to have had the opportunity to work with amazing people in the industry, like Direk Nolan Bernardino, Jeli Mateo, Jumbo de Belen and team from Flip Music Productions and supported by Boss Vic del Rosario of Viva Artists Agency.”
“I consider this award an extra special blessing on my birthday. God really made a way to show me that I’m in the right direction.
“Lalo akong na-inspire sa career ko now that I have added singing to my repertoire, because now I feel like I am a total performer, and hopefully I can make people more happy through my concerts and appearances.”
