“This is the first time surfing became a part of SEA Games. It was through the efforts of the United Philippine Surfing Association that this was approved. We are making history in Southeast Asia right here in the Philippines,” saad ni UPSA secretary general at competition manager Kat Bolina.
“We want to assure you that we are doing our best to set a high standard for surfing events in Asia and that we are working hard to give the best event possible. We are also working hand in hand with the International Surfing Association to ensure international standards are applied,” panapos ni Bolina.
