Palacios, iba pa sisipa sa Asian Cup

Kasado na para sa national women’s football team si goalkeeper Inna Palacios at 22 pang manlalaro na sasabak sa 20th AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 na sisimulan sa Enero 20 sa India.

Defenders Tara Shelton, Sofia Harrison, Dominique Randle, Hali Long, Kristen Bugay, Morgan Brown, Isabella Flanigan, Katrina Guillou at goalkeepers Kiara Fontanilla at Olivia Davies McDaniel.

Kahanay ng ‘Pinas sa Group B ang Thailand, Australia at Indonesia.

“I’ve got a lot of hope and a lot of belief that we can actually achieve the goal,” ani coach Alen Stajcic. “The players are all aligned and driven to succeed as one and that’s what we have to do to give ourselves every possible chance of getting one of those spots for the World Cup.”

Ang top two teams kada group at ang dalawa sa best third placed teams ang mga aabante sa knockout stages ng torneo. Paglalabanan din ang 12 teams ang limang qualification spot ng FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023.

Unang makakabangga ng Philippine squad ang Thais sa Enero 21 sa D.Y Patil Stadium sa Navi Mumbai.
