Pagbili ng DOH ng P3.5-B dengue vaccine, pinasisiyasat ni Ejercito

Pinaiimbestigahan ni Senador Joseph Victor Ejercito sa Senado ang ginawang pagbili ng Department of Health ng dengue vaccine na kamakailan lamang ay inamin ng manufacturer nito na nakakasama sa sinumang gumamit nito kahit hindi tinatamaan ng nasabing sakit.

Sinasabing gumastos ang gobyerno ng P3.5 bilyon para sa nasabing vaccine.

Nauna nang sinabi ng pharmaceutical company na Sanofi ang vaccine na Dengvaxia ay ligtas at epektibo lamang sa taong dinapuan na dengue.

“Based on up to six years of clinical data, the new analysis evaluated long-term safety and efficacy of Dengvaxia in people who had been infected with dengue prior to vaccination and those who had not. The analysis confirmed that Dengvaxia provides persistent protective benefit against dengue fever in those who had prior infection,” sabi na Sanofi sa isang press statement.
