Trending sa Twitter Philippines nitong Miyerkoles ang mga hashtag na #CancelKorea, #Bella Poarch at #Miss Universe matapos paulanan ng mga hateful comment ng ilang South Korean si Fil-Am influencer Bella Poarch.
Tinawag pa ng mga itong “short and uneducated” ang mga Pilipino dahil sa pagpapalagay ni Poarch ng Japanese rising sun flag tattoo.
Naispatan ng ilang South Korean ang naturang tattoo sa TikTok video ni Poarch. Anila, katulad daw ang “red sun” ng Japan ng Nazi swastika.
Iniuugnay ang naturang “sun flag” sa Japanese imperialism pero sa Japan, simbolo iyon ng suwerte at magandang kapalaran.
Sabi ng mga kritiko, binubura nito ang ginawang pang-aabuso ng mga sundalong Japanese noong World War II sa mga bansang sinakop nito kabilang na ang South Korea.
Dahil dito, maraming South Korean TikTokers ang bumanat sa 19-year-old influencer at inakusahang ignorante sa history.
Nadamay sa galit ng ilang South Korean ang mga Pilipino sa pagsasabing mahirap na bansa ang Pilipinas, hindi edukado at mga pandak.
