Nanumpa na kamakailan lang si Maria Margarita Roxas Moran- Floriendo o mas kilala bilang Margie Moran bilang bagong Chairman ng ng Board of Trustees ng Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). Pinalitan niya sa puwesto ang advertising maven na si Emily Abrera.
Margie was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte bilang miyembro ng CCP Board of Trustees nu’ng January 2018 at na-elect as CCP Chair during the board meeting held in April.
Bago siya itinalaga bilang CCP Chair, Margie served as president ng Ballet Philippines mula 2009 hanggang 2018. She was likewise undertook social and civil works in promoting peace and livelihood sa rehiyon ng Mindanao.
Naging host din si Margie ng programang “Margie on Mindanao” sa ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) at siya rin ang producer ng award-winning film na “Bagong Buwan” (2001) at dinirek ito ng namayapang si Marilou Diaz- Abaya.
In 2009, Margie hosted “The Red Carpet” na ipinalabas sa Net 25. Author din siya ng dalawang libro titled “Mindanao In The Mend” at “Mindanao, A Portrait.”
She is known for winning the second Miss Universe crown for the Philippines in 1973.
