Umukit ng kasaysayan si veteran guard Mark Caguioa nang lumaro ito sa kanyang ika-18th season para sa Barangay Ginebra.
Nitong Linggo, lumaro si Caguioa sa huling quarter ng Ginebra-Meralco match kung saan nasungkit ng mga ito ang kanilang ikatlong panalo 105-91 sa 2020 Philippine Cup.
Ayon umano kay PBA chief statistician Fidel Mangonon, naungusan ni 40-year-old Caguioa sina Alvin Patrimonio (Purefoods) at Harvey Carey (TNT) para sa most seasons played sa iisang team.
“Mark is just a joy to be around. He’s always got a sunny disposition. He’s always up, he never sulks, he never gets upset,” wika ni coach Tim Cone para sa eight-time PBA champion.
“His teammates love him. He doesn’t demand anything. With his past history and who he is, he could really demand but he doesn’t. He’s such a really really good guy. So it’s great to have him on the team,” dagdag pa nito.
