Graft vs mag-utol na Tulfo binasura

Binasura ng Office of the Ombudsman ang graft case na isinampa laban kay dating Tourism secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo at kapatid niyang si Ben Tulfo.

Kaugnay ito sa kontrobersiyal na P60 milyong TV ad deal ng Department of Tourism sa People’s Television Network (PTV).

Ayon sa Ombudsman, hindi masasabing may sabwatan sa kaso dahil hindi batid ni Teo ang kasunduan ng PTV at Bitag Media, na pag-aari ng kanyang kapatid.

Sinabi pa ng Ombudsman na hindi alam ni Teo na ang Kilos Pronto ay prinodyus ng Bitag Media.

Inakusahan si Teo na nagbigay ng pabor nang mapunta ang P60 milyong tourism advertisement sa PTV at inilagay sa mga Bitag Media program.

“There is no conspiracy. In the eyes of the law, conspiracy exists when two or more persons come to an agreement concerning the commission of the crime and decide to commit it,” saad sa ruling.

“In the instant case, nowhere was it directly shown that Sec. Teo was aware that Kilos Pronto is owned by Bienvenido Tulfo, her sibling. There is also nothing on record showing that then Sec. Teo had performed an overt act in pursuance or in furtherance of the supposed complicity,” dagdag nito.
