Muling nagbalik sina Greg Slaughter at Sol Mercado sa practice ng Ginebra noong Lunes.
Napaganda pa ang pagbabalik nilang dalawa dahil naghahanda na ang kanilang koponan para sa playoffs ngayong season-ending conference.
Matatandaang nagtamo ng sprained ankle si Slaughter habang si Mercado naman ay nagkaroon ng meniscus tear.
Limitado man ang oras ng practice nila, magandang progreso na rin ito para kay Ginebra coach Tim Cone.
“They practiced for the first 40, 45 minutes and then I had them sit out so we will just be giving them a small taste,” sabi ni Cone. “Hopefully, they’ll go a little bit longer tomorrow.”
Hindi naman kailangang magmadali ang dalawa sapagkat maganda ang kampanya ng Ginebra ngayong Governor’s Cup.
“We are eager to get them back, but we are in a situation where we can be a little bit more circumspect about it. We don’t need to rush them. If we were like 3-5 or 4-4, something like that, because of our record and what we’ve been able to do, the need for them to be rushed is not as great,” saad ni Cone.
“The key is getting them ready for the playoffs at this point.”
Kasalukuyang nangunguna ang Ginebra sa ibabaw ng standings sa kanilang 7-1 na baraha.
