Garin, Abad, Ubial isasalang sa muling pagbubukas ng Dengvaxia probe

Iimbitahin ng Kamara bilang resource persons sina dating Budget Sec. Butch Abad at dating Health secretaries Janette Garin at Paulyn Ubial sa muling pagbubukas ng imbestigasyon ng Kamara sa Dengvaxia controversy sa Nobyembre 20 at 21.

Ayon kay Camiguin Rep. Xavier Jesus Romualdo, chairman ng House committee on good government and public accountability, layon ng reopening ng imbestigasyon na maisapinal ang committee report sa pananagutan ng nagdaang administrasyon sa pagbili ng P3.5-billion na halaga ng dengue vaccines noong 2015.

“As with all other investigations we conduct, I just expect the resource persons to answer our questions completely and truthfully,” ani Romualdo.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to tie up loose ends and get a more complete picture of why and how the government procured the vaccines and rolled out the vaccination program and if offenses were committed by the officials involved in the process,” paliwanag ng kongresista.

Matatandaang hindi naaprubahan ang committee report ng joint investigation nang palitan ni Romualdo si Surigao del Sur Rep. Johnny Pimentel bilang chairman ng good government committee nang magpalit ng liderato ang Kamara.

Sabi ni Romualdo, nakausap na niya si health committee chairperson Helen Tan hinggil sa reopening ng imbestigasyon.

Bukod kina Abad, Garin at Ubial, kabilang rin sa resource persons sina Public Attorney’s Office chief Persida Acosta, dating Health Undersecretary Kenneth Hartigan Go, mga miyembro ng dalawang panels of experts ni Ubial, mga mula sa Department of Health, Food and Drug Administration, Philippine Children Medical Center at Philippine Association of Pathologies.
