DOH babawiin ang P3.5-B na pinambili ng Dengvaxia

Plano ng Department of Health na hilingin sa Sanofi Pasteur na ibalik sa kanila ang P3.5 bilyon na inilaan sa pagbili ng maanomalyang dengue vaccine na Dengvaxia.

“We will demand the refund of the PhP 3.5 billion paid for the Dengvaxia, and that Sanofi set up an indemnification fund to cover the hospitalization and medical treatment for all children who might have severe dengue,” pahayag ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque sa isang statement.

Kasabay nito, pinaalalahana din ng DOH ang publiko sa PhilHealth’s dengue case rate package na P8,000 hanggang P16,000 para sa matinding dengue kasama na ang hospital at physician fees.

“We will continue to be vigilant in monitoring our children for any adverse event following immunization and will strengthen the readiness of our public hospitals in attending to any severe dengue cases that may occur,” ayon pa sa DOH Secretary.
