Didal napiling Athlete of the Month ng TOPS

Patuloy ang ang pagragasa ni Asian Games champion Margielyn Didal sa international scene matapos masungkit ang back-to-back titles sa Netherlands at California, USA para sa kanyang kampanyang makapasok sa Tokyo Olympics.

Naibagahe ni Didal ang first-ever Ladies Day Skate competition title sa Berrics na ginanap sa The Netherlands.

Nadepensahan rin ng 20-year-old pride mula Cebu City ang kanyang korona sa 2019 Exposure All Women’s Skateboarding Championships sa Huntington Beach, California, USA.

Dahil sa kanyang mga tagumpay, hinirang si Didal bilang “Athlete of the Month” sa Nobyembre ng Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS).

Ito ang unang award ni Didal mula sa TOPS, newest sports organization na binubuo ng mga editor, reporter at photographer mula sa country’s leading tabloids.

“Like many other great Filipino athletes, Margielyn made all of us proud to be Filipinos,” pahayag ni TOPS President Ed Andaya ng People’s Tonight.

“Her success serves as an inspiration to the Filipino youth who hope to make a difference in the wonderful world of sports.”

Ilan pa sa mga pinagpiliaan sa monthly award ng TOPS sina basketball superstar Jack Danielle Animam ng UAAP champion National University at GM Rogelio Barcenilla Jr., na nanguna sa “Battle of GMs” chess championship.

Wagi rin sa mga nakaraang TOPS monthly award sina Manny Pacquiao (January), Jasmin Mikaela Mojdeh (February), Natalie Uy (March), Ernest John Obiena (April), June Mar Fajardo (May), the Philippine Canoe Kayak and Dragon Boat Federation team (June), Obiena (July), Antonella Berthe Racasa (August) Obiena (September) at Caloy Yulo (October).

TOPS rin ang presentor ng “Usapang Sports”, weekly forum na ginaganap sa National Press Club at sponsored ng Philippine Sports Commission, National Press Club, PAGCOR, Community Basketball Association at HG Guyabano Tea Leaf Drink at livestreaming mula sa Glitter Livestream.
