Daos, 70 pa kakampay

Pangungunahan ni Kirsten Chloe Daos ang 71 tankers na kakasa sa 2021 Philippine Swimming, Inc. (PSI) National Selection Bubble para sa mga bubuo sa national team training pool ngayong Biyernes sa New Clark City Aquatics Center sa Tarlac.

Suportado ang three-day swimfest ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), at Clark Development Corporation (CDC). Ang NCCAC ang playing venue ng PH 30th Southeast Asian Games 2019.

May basbas ng International Swimming Federation ito kaya maaaring makakuha ang mga swimmer ng FINA points at makapagtala ng time standards para mag-qualify sa 2021 World Swimming (25m) Championships sa Disyembre at sa World Aquatics Championships sa susunod na taon.

“We hope that the event can show to the youth that we can rise again and recover from this pandemic. We hope to encourage current swimmers to train even more to reach their dreams,” bulalas Huwebes ni PSI president Lailani Velasco.

Dinagdag pa niyang, “And what better dream than to have a chance to represent the country, and bring pride and honor to the flag.”

Three-time University Athletic Association of the Philipines Women’s Swimming Most Valuable Player si Daos. Inaasahang kakampay rin sina rising stars Xiandi Chua at Camille Buico, national record breaststroke holder Joy Rodgers. 82nd UAAP 2019-20 Men’s Swimming MVP Maurice Sacho Ilustre, stalwarts Ianiko Limfilipino at Miguel Barreto.

Sa Hotel Stotsenberg sa Clark Freeport Zone tutuloy ang manlalangoy at opisyal ng kompetisyon.
