CHED chair Licuanan, pinagbibitiw sa puwesto

Pinagbibitiw na ni Iligan City Rep. Frederick Siao si Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chair Patricia Licuanan kung hindi kayang gampanan ang kanyang trabaho.

Ito’y matapos mapag-alaman na hindi pa rin naibibigay ang living allowances ng 9,500 college faculty scholars sa ilalim ng K to 12 Transition Program.

Ayon kay Siao, marami sa kanyang constituents ang nagrereklamo na hindi pa rin natatanggap ang allowances sa kabila ng abiso ng CHED na ire-release ito bago magkatapusan nitong Disyembre ng nakaraang taon.

“I continue to receive complaints. Despite assurances and notice last December that allowances to some of the faculty studying in Manila will be released, they still had zero allowances,” ani Siao.

Sabi ng kongresista, hindi na katanggap-tanggap ang palusot ng ahensya na natambakan sila ng mga dokumento kaya natatagalan ang proseso.

“They could have hired additional personnel to deal with all those 11,000 sets of documents. They could have designated a dedicate lane or process for the K to 12 Transition program. They could have done many other measures.

Iginiit ni Siao na kung walang magagawang paraan ni Licuanan ay mas maiging umalis na lamang ito sa puwesto kahit pa anim na buwan na lamang ang natitira sa kanyang termino.

“They must clean up this mess. Then when CHED Chairperson Patricia Licuanan steps down, the executive director should also leave when she leaves. The other directors responsible for not solving the gridlock should also leave with them,” giit ng mambabatas. (Pearl Serrano)
