778 panukalang batas, naaksyunan ng Kamara sa ilalim ni GMA

Sa loob lamang ng 25 session days mula nang maupong Speaker si dating pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, nasa kabuuang 778 ang mga panukalang batas at resolusyon na nai-proseso ng Kamara o 31 bills kada araw ng sesyon hanggang sa mag-adjourn noong October 10.

Dahil dito, umabot na ng 3,707 ang mga panukalang naaksyunan ng Kamara mula nang magbukas ang 17th Congress noong July 25, 2016.

Una nang tiniyak ni GMA na isusulong nito ang legislative agenda ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Mula sa 778 naiprosesong panukala nitong Third Regular Session, 32 ang naisabatas kung saan 8 ang national bills at 24 ang local measures.

Kabilang dito ang Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao na napirmahan na ni Pangulong Duterte bilang Republic Act 11054. Gayundin ang Republic Act 11055, o ang ‘Philippine Identification System Act’, RA 11057, o ang ‘Personal Property Security Act’, RA 11058, ‘An Act Strengthening Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards’, at RA 11059 o ang ‘Retirement Law of the Office of the Ombudsman’.

Nasa 41 iba pang panukala ang naghihintay na lang din ng lagda ng Presidente para maging ganap na batas.

Bukod pa dito ang 10 bicameral reports na naratipikahan na rin ng Kamara kabilang ang Philippine HIV and AIDS Policy Act, Increasing the Maternity Leave to 100 Days, An Act Providing For the Special Protection of Children In Situations of Armed Conflict and Providing Penalties For Violations Thereof, An Act Establishing The Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Trust Fund And Providing For Its Management And Utilization, An Act Creating The Department Of Human Settlements And Urban Development, Defining Its Mandate, Powers And Functions, and Appropriating Funds Therefor, at An Act Rationalizing and Expanding The Powers And Duties of the Social Security Commission and the Social Security System.
