Natanggap na ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang imbitasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na dumalo sa conference kaugnay ng mga alegasyon ni Rodulfo Gracioso Jr. laban sa kanya.
Kinumpirma ito ng abogado ni Duterte na si Atty. Paul Lawrence Lim nitong Sabado, Oktubre 3.
“The Vice President received the NBI’s invitation for her to attend a conference on Mr. Rodulfo M. Gracioso, Jr.’s allegations,” ani Lim.
“However, since no official copy of Mr. Gracioso’s affidavit was included with the invitation, we have requested the NBI for a faithful copy thereof and all its supporting documents, if any,” dagdag pa niya
Batay sa liham ng mga abogado ni Duterte sa NBI na may petsang Oktubre 1, hiniling ng kampo ang malinaw at kumpletong kopya ng affidavit, kasama ang mga attachment at iba pang ebidensyang isinumite ni Gracioso upang makapaghanda sila ng tugon.
Nakatakda sanang dumalo sina Duterte at kanyang abogado sa conference sa Oktubre 5, pero hiniling nilang ilipat ito sa Oktubre 8, alas-10 ng umaga, upang magkaroon sila ng sapat na oras na suriin ang mga dokumento.
“Once received, the Vice President will take appropriate action thereon in due course,” ayon naman sa press statement ni Lim. (AM)
