Nahanap ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) ang isang 15-anyos na estudyante na umano’y itinutulak para magsagawa ng mass shooting.
Ito ang ibinahagi ni FPJ Panday Bayanihan party-list Rep. Brian Poe sa kanyang pag-sponsor sa panukalang budget ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) noong Huwebes ng gabi.
“Further, the NBI and the CICC intervened where a 15-year old student in Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Cavite yesterday (Wednesday), who is allegedly linked to a network discussing mass school shootings and found on him a playing card that read: Commit suicide and commit mass shooting,” sabi ni Poe.
Ayon kay Poe, kusang-loob na isinuko ng estudyante ang kanyang cellphone para sa forensic examination.
“This resulted in the voluntary surrender of his phone for forensic examination and his referral to the MSWDO (Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) for monitoring and psychological assessment,” sabi ng mambabatas.
“This remains an ongoing matter, but the objective is clear mechanisms that are lawful, workable, and responsive to the concerns of Filipino,” dagdag niya.
Sinabi ni Poe na nakikipagtulungan ang DICT sa Meta at iba pang online platforms upang palakasin ang online safety at accountability. (Billy Begas)
