Naisilbi na ng Senate impeachment court ang subpoena kay Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte para dumalo bilang testigo ng prosekusyon sa impeachment trial ng kanyang kapatid na si Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay Senate Sergeant-At-Arms retired Gen Alfred Corpuras, dalawang miyembro ng Senate Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA) ang personal na nagtungo sa Davao City para isilbi ang subpoena na nag-aatas kay Mayor Duterte na dumalo sa Senado mula Setyembre 28-30 ganap na alas-10 ng umaga.
“You are hereby commanded to appear before the Senate Impeachment Court… to testify your knowledge in the case which is before the Court in which the House of Representatives has impeached Vice President Sara Zimmerman Duterte,” sabi sa subpoena.
Kinumpirma naman ni Impeachment Court Spokesperson Atty. Reginald Tongol na natanggap na ng opisina ni Mayor Baste ang subpoena ad testificandum at duces tecum.
Inatasan din si Mayor Duterte na dalhin ang certified true copies at kumpletong electric copies ng opisyal na record ng kontrata at iba pang transaction records na pinasok ng GenCorp Industries sa Davao City Government.
Sa kanyang Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), idineklara ng Bise President na stakeholder siya ng GenCorp subalit wala sa record ng Securities and Exchange Commission na isa sa mga incorporators si Vice President Duterte. (Dindo Matining)
