Nagluksa ang Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) sa pagpanaw ng “valued member” nitong si Batanes Rep. Ciriaco Gato Jr., na inilarawan bilang isang physician-lawmaker na nag-alay ng kanyang buhay sa serbisyo publiko at sa mga pagsisikap na mapabuti ang kalusugan at kapakanan ng mga Pilipino.
Pumanaw si Gato, na namuno sa House Committee on Health, noong Lunes, Setyembre 21.
“The Nationalist People’s Coalition deeply mourns the passing of Batanes Rep. Ciriaco B. Gato Jr., a valued member of the party, a dedicated public servant, and a physician who devoted his life to caring for others,” sabi ng NPC sa isang pahayag.
“Congressman Gato served the people of Batanes with compassion and unwavering dedication. As a medical doctor and chairperson of the House Committee on Health, he worked tirelessly to improve the health and well-being of Filipinos,” dagdag pa ng partido.
Ayon sa NPC, lubos na nadarama ng mga taga-Batanes, kanyang mga kasamahan sa Kongreso, ng NPC, at ng lahat ng taong kanyang naantig ang pagpanaw ni Gato.
“The NPC extends its deepest sympathies and prayers to his loved ones. His life of service will be remembered with gratitude and respect,” dagdag pa ng NPC. (Billy Begas)
