“Ultimately this will reach the Supreme Court. Because of the varied interpretations,” pahayag ni Drilon.

Cuenco at Bayan v.

Aniya, “The impeachment court has the sole power to try and decide what is the number so effectively, the Senate would have to determine that.”

“Because under the Constitution, the Senate, acting as an impeachment court, shall have the sole power to try and decide so if you’re going to be strict about that, not even the Supreme Court can interfere,” paliwanag niya.

“Of course, the Supreme Court will say this is an interpretation of the Constitution and therefore we have jurisdiction,” dagdag naman ni Drilon.
