Kinumpirma ni Atty. Ferdie Topacio, abogado ni Batangas Rep. Leandro Leviste, na hawak ng mambabatas ang mga text message mula kay dating Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Chief Adrian Bersamin.
Sa panayam sa programang “At the Forefront” ng Bilyonaryo News Channel, sinabi ni Topacio na ipinakita sa kanya ni Leviste ang naturang mga mensahe noon, bagaman ayaw niyang sabihin ang laman ng mga ito nang walang pahintulot ng mambabatas.
Maaari aniyang gamitin ang mga mensahe laban sa mga opisyal ng administrasyong Marcos.
“It exists and it is explosive and it is very damning to the present administration,” ani Topacio.
Ayon kay Topacio, ang mga text message ay mula kay Bersamin at kausap umano sina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at mga taong malapit sa Pangulo.
“It even involves the funding of the electoral campaigns of several administration candidates last year during the senatorial polls,” dagdag niya.
“So talagang very incriminatory ito at talagang dapat itong malaman. But of course, I believe that is the reason why they are harassing the poor guy whose only intent is fight for good governance and expose the venality of the present government,” aniya pa.
Matatandaang humaharap sa mga reklamong graft at corruption sina Bersamin at dating Education Undersecretary Trygve Olaivar dahil sa umano’y kickbacks sa mga proyektong pang-imprastraktura.
