28 priority bills sinigurong ipapasa sa 19th Congress

Nagkasundo ang mga mambabatas at mga opisyal ng ehekutibo na gawing prayoridad para maipasa sa 19th Congress ang 28 panukalang batas na mahalaga para sa pagsulong at pag-unlad ng bansa at ng mamamayan.

Ito ay kasunod ng ipinatawag na Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) meeting ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa Malacanang nitong Martes.

Ayon kay National Economic and Development Authority Secretary Arsenion Balisacan, 18 panukalang batas ang pangunahing prayoridad, walo dito ay umuusad na sa Kongreso habang ang sampu ay pangalawang prayoridad para maipasa.

Pitong mga bagong panukalang batas ang idinagdag ng economic team sa top priority list kabilang dito ang:

1. Amendments to the Right-of-Way Act upang mapabilis ang implementasyon ng mga mahalagang infrastructure projects;

2. Excise Tax on Single-Use Plastics;

3. Rationalization of the Mining Fiscal Regime;

4. Amendmets to the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA);

5. Create More Act;

6. The Departmen of Water Resources; at

7. VAT on digital services.

Sinabi ni Balisacan na mahalagang maipasa ang mga panukalang batas na ito upang mapalakas ang pangangasiwa sa ekonomiya at masigurong mailarga kaagad ang mga flagship infrastructure project ba magpapatatag sa pananalapi ng bansa.

Nanawagan si Balisacan ng kooperasyon sa pagitan ng ehekutibo at lehislatibo pang mabuo ang nagkakaisang bersiyon ng mga prayoridad na panukalang batas.

Nagpasalamat ang kalihim sa liderato ng Senado at Kamara sa kanilang pangako na bibilisan ang pagpasa sa mga mahahalagang panukalang batas.

“These bills represent our concerted effort yo shape the nation’s economic governance. foster growth, and ensure prosperous future for all Filipinos,” dagdag ni Balisacan.

8. CREATE MORE Act

9. Amendments to the Foreign Investors’ Long-Term Lease Act

10. Amendments to the Rice Tariffication Law
