Lumobo sa 10 undersecretary at 21 assistant secretary ang naitalaga sa DSWD, na tinatayang umaabot sa six digit ang sweldo kada buwan.
Base sa website ng DSWD, 10 ang kasalukuyang undersecretary ng ahensya, habang 21 naman ang assistant secretary.

Batay sa report ng Politiko, karamihan sa mga na-appoint ay umupo noong panahon ni dating DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo, na nawala sa pwesto matapos itong hindi makalusot sa Commission on Appointments.
Ang undersecretary ay umaabot sa P189,199 ang sahod sa ilalim ng salary grade 30, habang ang assistant secretary naman ay may sweldo na P167,432 sa salary grade 29.
Si Rex Gatchalian ang kasalukuyang kalihim ng DSWD. Isa lang umano ang kinuha nitong undersecretary at assistant secretary.
Sa ngayon ay nahihirapan umano si Gatchalian na bawasan ang mga nakapwestong opisyal sa nasabing kagawaran. (RP)
