Nakapagbigay si Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte ng direktang tulong sa may 163,000 residente ng kanyang distrito sa Davao City sa kanyang unang taon bilang miyembro ng 19th Congress.
“We will sustain and expand further our projects in Davao City so that we can assist more Dabawenyos in need. We will also continue to propose legislative measures that will help create more jobs, bring in more investments and reenergize the economy while protecting the welfare of society’s underprivileged sectors,” sabi ni Duterte.
Nakapaghain din si Duterte ng 169 panukala sa Kamara na naglalayong pagbutihin ang kalagayan ng mga senior citizen, persons with disabilities, maglalayag, guwardiya, freelance worker, public school teacher, overseas Filipino worker, magsasaka at mangingisda, media worker, biktima ng kalamidad, at iba pang marginalized group.
“My commitment has always been to help build a stable, comfortable and secure future for our countrymen. This resolve, backed by concrete actions, is an unwritten qualification one must have upon entering public service,” dagdag pa ni Duterte.
Sa tulong ng tanggapan ni Duterte, may kabuuang 78,451 residente ng Davao City ang nakatanggap ng tulong mula sa Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) mula Hulyo 2022 hanggang Hunyo 2023.
Nakapagbigay din ng tulong ang tanggapan ni Duterte katuwang ang Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) sa may 1,600 college at 344 vocational scholars. Natulungan din ng mambabatas ang 40 postgraduate student na kumukuha ng medicine at pitong law student.
Nagpaabot din ng tulong si Duterte sa mga pasyente sa ospital, pamilya ng namatayan, gayundin sa mga pamilyang biktima ng sunog at pagbaha.
Itinulak din ni Duterte ang 18.21 kilometrong Davao City Coastal Road Project, at 800 metrong flyover sa Maa Diversion Road bukod pa sa mga evacuation center, multi-purpose building, bypass road, seawall at revetment, water system, fire station, at drainage system. (Billy Begas)
