Zubiri: Air navigation room ng CAAP kinabitan na ng CCTV

Kinabitan na nitong Biyernes na closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) ang lugar kung saan ang air navigational system ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

Ayon kay Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, limang CCTV ang iinilagay sa equipment room kung saan doon din makikita ang circuit breaker.

“Salamat sa CAAP at inaksyonan nila ngayong araw ang utos natin kahapon sa Senado na lagyan agad ng CCTV cameras sa mga sensitibo at kritikal na areas na nakalagay ang ating Communication Navigation Surveillance and Air Traffic Management equipment,” sabi ni Zubiri.

“Sana nalagyan na dati pa agn CCTV para malaman nating kung ano talaga ang nangyari noong Enero 1. Pero “Better late than Never”,” dagdag pa niya.

Samantala, sinabi ni Zubiri na hihintayin nila ang forensic investigation para mabgiyan sila na malinaw na larawan sa kung anong nangyari sa nasirang mga equipment.

“As of now, they are giving general statements that have opened more questions such as the follow up maintenance checks which should have been done by the manufacturer of the equipment themselves aside from our own CAAP personnel alone,” ayon kay Zubiri.

“Therefore, let us await the results of the forensic report to paint a clear picture whether it was human error, meaning negligence or incompetence or whether it was a system or equipment failure or even sabotage as that cannot be ruled out as well,” dagdag pa niya. (Dindo Matining)
