Sinagot ni Myles Powell ang espekulasyong pineke lamang niya ang kanyang injury matapos kumayod nang husto sa panig ng Bay Area sa Game 6 ng PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
Siya ang tinanghal na Best Player sa Game 6 win ng Bay Area laban sa Barangay Ginebra, 87-84, noong Miyerkoles, at naipuwersa ang do or die Game 7.
Kumamada siya ng 29 points, limang three-pointer at tatlong assist.
Sa kabila ng impresibong nilaro niya, sinabi ni Powell na hindi pa siya 100 porsiyentong nag-heal mula sa injury.
“I’m still not healthy,” giit ni Powell, na huling naglaro sa elimination round noong November 23, 2022 kung saan nanalo ang Dragons laban sa TNT, 140-108, bago siya pinaganang muli ng Dragons sa Game 6 ng championship round matapos magtamo ng injury si import Andrew Nicholson.
“I’m still not a hundred percent. That was my first time running up and down since three days before Thanksgiving since our last game,” dagdag niya.
“I was winded. You see I didn’t start. I didn’t start the third quarter. Coach didn’t really play me that much, but I did what I could with the time I was out there,” patuloy pa niya. (IS)
