“As relayed to us by the different telcos, they are already ready with their systems come tomorrow and then are ready to accept the registration nationwide starting December 27,” pahayag ni National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Deputy Commissioner Jon Paulo Salvahan.

Nagpaalala naman si Camarines Sur Rep. LRay Villafuerte na huwag kalimutan na magparehistro upang hindi ma-deactivate ang kanilang numero.

“With the release of RA 11934’s IRR last Dec. 12, all existing postpaid and prepaid SIM users are from hereon required, under this law, to register within 180 days, or about six months, to avoid deactivation of their cellphone numbers,”

Matatandaang ipinasa ang SIM Registration Act upang labanan ang lumalalang text scam na nambiktima at nagpahirap sa maraming Pinoy.
