Ayon sa World Health Organization (WHO), wala nang dahilan para muling ibalik ang Metro Manila sa mas striktong quarantine measure.
Saad no WHO acting representative Rabindra Abeyasinghe, malubhang maaapektuhan ang ekonomiya ng bansa kung muling ibabalik ang NCR sa mahigpit na quarantine tulad ng enhanced community quarantine.
“We don’t believe that the situation in Metro Manila requires a reversal. We recognize the impact of this outbreak not only on health but also on the economy,” saad ng WHO representative.
“And within the IATF recommendations, there is provision for localized lockdowns. And where we are seeing an upsurge of cases within the NCR, in some localized cities or barangays, there is a need to make use of those provisions to suppress further transmission,” aniya pa.
Ngayong Martes inaasahan na ianunsyo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang kakahinatnan ng quarantine protocol sa Metro Manila at iba pang lugar sa bansa.
