Sa halos isang dekada ni Chris Ross sa PBA, first time niyang masabunutan ng fan sa laban ng San Miguel kontra NorthPort sa best-of-three quarterfinals series.
Ayon kay Ross, nasorpresa siya ng biglang hablutin ang kanyang buhok ng isang fan habang ini-interview ng courtside reporter.
“It has never happened to me. People had pulled my arm for a picture or stuff, but no one’s ever pulled my hair. That’s a sign of disrespect,” ayon sa SMB veteran guard.
Ngunit imbes na magalit sa fan, mas nainis ito sa security dahil sa kaluwagan sa mga manonood sa venue.
“I was kind of mad at the security because there’s three security guys there and they didn’t do anything. They just let whoever did it, do what they wanted to do,” ayon kay Ross. “I kind of got mad at the security more than I got mad at whoever did it because they have to protect us. It’s all about players’ safety.”
Pinalabas sa venue ang dalawang fan matapos hablutin ang buhok ni Ross kasunod ng pangyayari.
Dapat aniya ay siguraduhin ng security ang seguridad ng mga manlalaro at iba pang PBA personnel.“I just want players to be as safe as possible,” aniya. “I mean, you never know what they can do, they can try to hurt us or whatever.”
