Hindi na umano kailangan ng holders ng expired o pa-expired nang electronic passports na magbigay ng birth certificates kapag nag-renew.
Ito ang nilinaw ni Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Assistant Secretary Elmer Cato matapos magpahayag ng kanilang concerns ang netizens sa renewal ng kanilang passports.

Bago nito, ibinunyag ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Boy Locsin na tinangay lahat ng contractor ang passport-related data nila nang i-terminate ang kontrata nito.
“Because previous contractor got pissed when terminated it made off with data. We did nothing about it or couldn’t because we were in the wrong,” ani Locsin sa tweet. (IS)
